Youth Tour Ambassador Program
The Youth Tour Ambassador program gives students (4th – 12th grade) the chance to volunteer in a museum setting. Student participants learn Carbon County history, tour presentation techniques, visitor services, and other museum tasks.
Student participants commit to volunteer two hours a week (or 20 hours over the three-month program) to assist museum staff in visitor services activities. Their responsibilities include learning exhibit materials for museum programs and guided tours, guiding visitors through museum exhibits, and assisting museum staff to prepare for group visits and educational programs.
The program ends with a student-planned, student-led Family Open House. It’s be a fun time for participants to show family and friends everything they've learned at the museum.
